Bonjour, Pareee!!

Who ever said that once-in-a-lifetime can only happen once, or twice?

After 8 macarons, a sampling of foie gras, 4 multi-course meals, 2 Alaia shoes, a vintage Givenchy skirt and 10 new scarves, our shopping & dining Parisian adventure is now over.

But before I turn into a fat sack (yes, I gained weight which I don't know how after all the walking we did which seemed to have been as far out to the moon and back!), and before I officially start my wallowing over the end of our vacation, let me share with you all how each of those fabulous day unfolded right from the very first day!

DAY 1

Arrived in this very comfy travel outfit:

Stayed at Le Meridien Etoile.
When we stayed here for New Year's Eve '08, they upgraded us to their Club President suite and given a free continental breakfast at the club floor with views of the Eiffel! This time, not as lucky. Oh well, we're in Paris and nothing could ever dampen our spirit!

For dinner, we went to Leon de Bruxelles. This is our favorite place for 'moulet et frites' and is probably our 5th or 6th time here! Yes, for me, it's THAT good! So good we even went on a foodie pilgrimage last year and visited their original restaurant in Brussels!

Was feeling so jetlagged so at 8PM, we called it a night and I then slept for 10 hours. I know, such a waste of time to be sleeping for that long while on holiday but it was much needed because day 2 was packed with a full-day shopping itinerary!

A Series of Coincidental 7s

For 7 years, we've slow danced and shared many memorable adventures traveling to 17 countries. To celebrate our 7th anniversary, we'll be going away for 7 days and hopefully add a few more cities to bring our list to a total of 77!

If 'love at first sight' only happens in fairy tales, then I must have lived my own fairy tale.

Nine years ago, I met a dashing small town boy in Kansas. Right at the very front door when I first saw him, I just somehow knew he's gotta be THE one. And I didn't have to wait too long to know that he too felt the same.

Several minutes later when our gaze crossed, I smiled him a big smile, then shyly lowered my gaze. When I looked up to meet his gaze again, he was still smiling back. It seemed like the world stopped for five minutes right at that very moment and no one else mattered.

Fast forward nine years and we're now celebrating this week our 7th year anniversary!

Nine years together and 7 years married but still as silly as two lovebirds can be! We still AIM each other sweet nothings even when we're next to each other! We still hold hands with the left thumb over the right declaring that it means "heart over mind"! We still give each other little nose kisses and reply back "I love you" when the other says "thank you".

To my dearest, darlingest Hon, I love you so dearly!
Thank you for our 7 years together.
They are the best 7 years of my life and looking forward to 70 more!!

And lastly, thanks to all my friends who donated to the clothing drive for the the typhoon victims in Manila. All in all we collected 120 shirts & tops, 27 jeans, 21 skirts, 16 baby clothes, 2 pairs of shoes and 2 bags of maternity and baby stuff that I no longer was able to count! Some friends even gave stylish clothes that still got tags on them! It will surely make a few ladies happy! Who said you can't be stylish just because you're in an evacuation center?!
