I Heart Bangkok!

NOV 17, 2014

I'm so at home now here in Bangkok.
Yes, that's despite the language barrier and despite the spicy food.

What's not to love about this place?!
There's plenty of things to do to satisfy the traveler in me, plenty of shops to enable my insatiable shopaholic self, and plenty of resto options for the foodie me!

Now that my work is no longer crazy busy and finally have the weekend to myself,
we finally got our weekends down to science which consist of:
A little sightseeing and a lot of shopping on Saturdays; A nice brunch, an afternoon tea, a nice massage and salon time on Sundays.

I ❤️ Bangkok!

Gadgets and Weight Gain

OCT 28, 2013

I've gained about 8lbs since I got here in Bangkok.
I don't know how it happened.
My diet consists of just Facebook and Instagram and white rice.

I therefore conclude that being umbilically attached to one's phone causes weight gain.

French Laundry (What to Wear)

While it was a no-brainer what to wear to Per Se (black of course, it's New York after all), I was unnecessarily stressing over what to wear to French Laundry.

It's in Yountville (Napa area) so I wanted to look relaxed, but at the same time it's a Thomas Keller establishment, so I wanted to look finesse.

I didn't want to wear a solid dark color; it's summer after all and I read somewhere that the French Laundry does not have an AC in an effort to stay green.
I also didn't want to wear tight clothing; it's a 12-course tasting after all and the last thing I want is a bursting waistline before the pre-dessert is served!

The answer came in the form of a paisley maxi dress hanging in my closet for over a year now, waiting for the right moment to be showcased and strut around.

Other than the occasional I-look-like-I'm-preggo shot angles, it did do it's job:
to stay on until the last morsel of mignardises have been consumed!

Review of the restaurant coming soon!
